The roundtable, which was held behind closed doors on March 31, 2025, had presentations in three sessions as well as representatives from the commercial sector, academia, civic society, advocacy groups, and legal non-profit organizations. The event offered a forum for discussing online hate speech and discriminatory discourse, including racism, xenophobia, sexism, antisemitism, and anti-LGBTQI+ themes, as well as the role that artificial intelligence plays in their propagation and amplification. The complexity of AI-generated and targeted hate speech was the main topic of discussion, and many solutions were examined, ranging from content moderation and regulatory actions to educational programs that foster critical thinking abilities. The main topics and issues discussed during the roundtable are summarized in the conference report linked below; none of them may be attributed to specific presenters or participants. https://www.rusi.org/explore-our-research/publications/conference-reports/online-hate-speech-and-discrimination-age-ai (News)https://static.rusi.org/online-hate-speech-and-discrimination-in-the-age-of-ai-june-2025.pdf (Full Report) Share this: Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) Facebook Click to share on X (Opens in new window) X Like this:Like Loading...
