While preserving the right to free speech and information access, UNESCO is acting decisively to combat the escalating issues of hate speech, misinformation, and disinformation. Several important areas are the focus of their study. First, by establishing international guidelines and networks that promote human rights-based legislation, they are assisting in the shaping of the governance of digital platforms. To promote responsible online conduct, they are also making significant investments in media and information literacy, assisting with national regulations, educating content producers, and launching international campaigns like #PostWithCare. To improve the integrity of information published online, UNESCO is collaborating closely with civil society organizations, regional authorities, and other UN agencies. Additionally, they have created policy recommendations that prioritize international cooperation, improved regulatory instruments, and human rights. https://unesdoc.unesco.org/ark:/48223/pf0000395111 Share this: Click to print (Opens in new window) Print Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) Facebook Click to share on LinkedIn (Opens in new window) LinkedIn Click to share on Reddit (Opens in new window) Reddit Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window) WhatsApp Click to share on Bluesky (Opens in new window) Bluesky Click to email a link to a friend (Opens in new window) Email Like this:Like Loading...
