The website preventhate.org has been an initiative of Policyinstitute.net since 2021. It is our mission to deliver reliable and purposeful analyses with a view on averting and countering online hate and harmful speech.

Policyinstitute.net’s founder, Thorsten Koch, is a journalist, social science author and researcher, and not-for-profit NGO Manager. He used to serve as Senior Expert on Mauritania and, for years, has engaged in the promulgation of soft counter-extremism.

To date, Policyinstitute.net maintains four topical websites. Besides preventhate.org, these are think-tank.talk.org, counter-terrorism.org and sahara-sahel.org.
